Stomp It Out in partnership with Fresno County Sheriffs and Lock It Up Project is a campaign to bring awareness to the prescription drug abuse problem.
Proper storage by locking up drugs at home and correctly disposing of old prescription drugs is the best way to keep these medications out of the hands of teenagers, children and even adults that may abuse the intended use of these drugs.
Stomp It Out is an event beginning with a door-to-door awareness drive and ending the next week with a prescription drug drop-off conducting by the Fresno County Sheriffs under the direction of Sheriff Margaret Mims. The drop off day will also include a 5K Fun Run and Family Festival.
